Boom is a 2003 Indian black comedy thriller film directed by Kaizad Gustad. the film features Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Padma Lakshmi, Madhu Sapre, Zeenat Aman, and Katrina Kaif. The boom was Katrina Kaif’s debut film.

The movie is a biggest mistake of Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif, while giving an interview about Boom, had told that doing this film was the biggest mistake of her career. Katrina said that she had come to India immediately and was not very familiar with the civilization and culture here.
Over 40 million views on youtube
Gulshan Grover had told in an interview that ” The scene of me and Katrina Kaif is very famous on YouTube. It has been viewed nearly 40 million times. Gulshan Grover also said I had practiced this scene many times in a closed room. I was also scared because we had to give this scene in front of Amitabh Bachchan.”
The film was the story of three models who get caught in a diamond smuggling racket and together they try to get out of it. Madhu Sapre, Katrina Kaif, and Padma Lakshmi played the role of these three models in the film. The character of Katrina Kaif was earlier to be played by model Meghna Reddy.
The film performed very poorly at the box office.
In June 2020, Tiger Shroff opened up about the impact of Boom’s failure on his family. The actor said, “I remember how our furniture was sold off, one by one. Things I’d grown up seeing around us started disappearing. Then my bed went. I started to sleep on the floor. It was the worst feeling of my life.”
